Activities

Vista Balloon Adventures, Inc.
Scenic hot-air balloon flights from Newberg at dawn in Oregon's beautiful wine country. Flights take about an hour. You are there for about three hours and a lovely catered brunch is included after the flight.

Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum
Best known as the home of the "Spruce Goose", the museum houses over 80 historic aircraft and exhibits. Evergreen recently added an IMAX theater and a space museum.  www.sprucegoose.org

Champoeg State Heritage Area
The Champoeg features a unique combination of history, nature, and recreation. This is the site where Oregon's first provisional government was formed by a historical vote in 1843. Champoeg offers hiking trails, picnic and camping areas, log cabin museums and guided historic walks.

The Joel Palmer House ranks as one of Oregon's finest historic homes, and is on both the Oregon and the National Historic Registers. We bought the Joel Palmer House in May, 1996. Our lifelong desire was to combine great mushroom hunting with fine wine. Naturally, there could be no other place but the Wine Country of Oregon!
